Welcome to Ferox Capital
Ferox Capital is a discretionary investment manager specialising exclusively on the global convertible bond market. The Firm was established in 2000 and borne out of the belief that the convertible bond market offers a clear opportunity to deliver exceptional risk-adjusted returns.
We believe our single focus on the convertible bond market, backed by one of the most experienced research teams in the industry on this complex asset class, is key to our competitive advantage.
Today we employ 21 people and invest in assets across both long-only and hedge-fund strategies. Ferox Capital believes that environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) issues can affect the performance of investment portfolios (to varying degrees across companies, sectors, regions, asset classes and through time). Ferox Capital is signatory to the UN Principles of Responsible Investment which places careful consideration upon these factors. We therefore seek to integrate, where possible, these factors into our investment process.
Ferox Capital was named after the Ferox trout. Ferox trout are long-lived, but rare and notoriously difficult to catch. British record fish are regularly caught in Loch Awe, a beautiful Scottish loch, most famous for Kilchurn Castle, pictures of which we have featured on this website.
